Ahead of the 2023 elections, a political organization operating under the name of the Peter Obi Grassroots Alliance, or POGA, has declared that it will go spiritual for Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, to be elected.
The group claimed to have already started its vote mobilization and sensitization campaign to inform voters about their wards, polling places, party candidates, party logos, and how to thumbprint on election day.
Many people don't know the whereabouts of their wards and polling places, according to Kenechukwu Udokwu, POGA's national coordinator, who was speaking Tuesday as the sensitization exercise in Abuja got underway.
He stated that the party's logo, which has the picture of father, the mother, and the child, will appear on the ballot instead of the name and image of the LP's presidential candidate on election day.
He stated, "It is my burning desire to see our country get it right this time," when asked why he and his friends decided to participate in the sensitization exercise. Our efforts will be mostly at the local level, moving from ward to ward.
According to the POGA Coordinator, the organization has offices spread out among its about 3,500 members in each of the six geopolitical zones.
Engr. Micheal Njoku, another speaker, said that in order to make Mr. Obi the nation's next president, the group would engage in spiritual exercises.
"We will go spiritual, just like David and Goliath did in the Bible, and pray to God every day that He will elect Peter Obi as the next president of the Country," he declared.
The mountain will be moved by our prayers. Peter Obi is going to win by miracle, just as Jesus Christ accomplished miracles.
